Wireless surveillance cameras are WiFi enabled. Despite being “wireless,” all cameras need electricity for power and will either need a power wire and/or have a rechargeable battery. WiFi cameras have the advantage of being easier to install but will suffer a loss of connection if the wifi goes down or if the signal is weak. Wireless cameras can be viewed live time via a phone app, and playback will be either cloud and/or SD card.
